The Land Power Forum blog is published by the Australian Army Research Centre in order to generate discussion and debate about the future of Army.

It is a forum for informed analysis, commentary, thoughts and ideas. Contributions are welcomed from stakeholders, subject matter experts and those interested in future land warfare.

The Australian Army Occasional Papers are significant, stand-alone works written to generate informed discussion and new ideas that contribute to Army modernisation and the future of land power.

Through the Army Research Scheme (ARS), the Australian Army Research Centre contracts researchers within Defence and from think tanks, academics and independent scholars annually to undertake research on priority topics identified by Army. To that end, researchers are invited to apply for funding to address one of the 2023 ARS questions identified in the Army Futures Research Framework. Research funded under the ARS will be considered for publication in the peer reviewed Australian Army Journal, Army Occasional Papers or Monograph series. The reading lists are designed to prepare an officer or soldier for service in the State of the Australian Army Profession.

The State of the Australian Army Profession can be unforgiving and competitive. The consequences of failing are significant for the individual, his or her comrades and the nation they serve. The reading lists provide a number of publications that can help prepare you for service and which will allow you to better understand the demands that service will place on one's self and one's comrades.

The AARC seminar series consists of presentations on a variety of topics relating to land power. The aim is to encourage intellectual development and thinking.

The seminars provide an opportunity for debate and discussion.

The Australian Army Research Centre reviews and compiles systematic descriptions of books on land warfare topics, displayed here as separate Bibliographies.

Strategic Analysis is conducted by the Australian Army Research Centre for the purpose of identifying opportunities for Future Landpower.

Strategic Analysis consists of Strategic Assessments highlighting key trends and challenges to the Army in order to inform force design, structure and posture decisions and Spotlight Briefs providing a periodically released curated overview of issues relevant to Australian Landpower.

The Australian Army Research Centre will conduct on themes that enhance the debate on current and future land warfare issues and topics either independent or with other organisations.

The section contains all of the presentations from those AARC conferences as well as the Land Force Seminars.

The Australian Army Research Centre has supported research into a variety of areas over a number of years.

Not all research relates to Army’s future warfare.

The Land Warfare Study Centre is a historical organisation that conducted and engage others to address a wide range of military related research.
