Andrew Maher
Biography
Major Andrew Maher is an Infantry Officer who has a particular interest in operations conducted by, with and through foreign forces. His role within the Army Research Centre (AARC) is examining Emerging Threats and Opportunities, including support to the AARC Seminary Series. He has served multiple times in both Afghanistan and Iraq, with command experience at Platoon and Company levels, including experience within combined and interagency appointments. He has also served as a military fellow and lecturer with the University of New South Wales, Canberra, as a course convenor for Irregular Warfare. He is also a doctoral candidate exploring the nature of proxy warfare throughout the Cold War to today and into the future.
