Ready to Write? The Australian Army Research Centre wants to hear from you

Do you have something to say about the future of Australian Army land power? The Australian Army Research Centre (AARC) invites your contribution to our series of publications; the Australian Army Journal, Occasional Paper Series and the Land Power Forum.

The AARC fosters thought leadership to enhance Australian land power. We work to raise the level of professional debate on war, military force, future land capability development, and its challenges within Army, the nation, and internationally. We do this by forging partnerships with serving members, defence industry, academia, foreign militaries and others land power specialists. We also advocate for greater professional engagement on issues of land power and preparing land forces for war.

The AARC welcomes your research, experience and distinctive viewpoints. As the Chief of Army’s lead agency for coordinating and publishing Army’s land power research, we offer you an audience within a global network of world class contemporary strategic thinkers. Importantly, writing for the AARC gives you the opportunity to make a real difference to the future of Army capability.

Making a contribution to the AARC is straightforward. We accept submissions ranging from 600 words to over 10,000 words from all national security practitioners and academics who can contribute to Army’s understanding on land power, capability and its challenges. Our Contributor Guidelines outlines what we’re looking for and tells you how we’d like you to present your work for consideration. Remember too that the AARC maintains programs of research sponsorship to support and deliver directed research outcomes through the Army Research Scheme.
