Ria Rushin Joseph
Biography
Dr Ria Rushin Joseph is a Lecturer in the School of Information Technology at Deakin University, Australia. She earned her doctorate in theoretical physics from Swinburne University of Technology under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Peter D Drummond. In 2015, she was awarded the prestigious Victoria India Doctoral Scholarship to pursue her PhD. She was also the university topper in her bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Calicut, India, graduating with 98 per cent marks, and was a GATE scholar. Dr Joseph previously worked for more than two years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Quantum and Optical Science, Swinburne University of Technology. She has authored multiple publications in reputable international journals, with research contributions in theoretical physics, quantum optics, phase-space methods and emerging quantum technologies.
