John Bale

Captain John Bale served in the Australian Regular Army for twelve years before transferring to the active reserve. John is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and the Royal Military College – Duntroon. He has deployed to Afghanistan twice; once in 2008 and then in 2010. He holds a Masters’ of Arts and Management Studies and completed his honours on the First Chechen War.John completed this paper as part of his commitment for being a Chief of Army scholar in 2013. John is now the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Soldier On, a charity that supports serving and ex-serving physically and psychological wounded men and women.
