Nathan Coultis

Biography

Nathan Coultis was a member of the Australian Army Intelligence Corps from 2003 to 2010. He served on a number of operational deployments, including to the Solomon Islands, Iraq and Afghanistan, and in a number of specialist roles, including counterterrorism and counterinsurgency targeting operations. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of the Sunshine Coast and is currently completing a Masters of Justice (Intelligence Studies) through the Queensland University of Technology.

As a result of recent outbreaks of COVID-19 in Victoria, authorities are now increasing state border patrols to more thoroughly regulate interstate travellers. Due to these current demands placed on the South Australian Police Force, the government has sought assistance from the Australian Defence Force. In support of SA Police, Australian Defence Force members have been deployed to the South Australian border, helping to man border crossings and control entry points as part of Operation COVID-19 Assist.
