Jeremy Black
Biography
Professor Jeremy Black MBE studied at Queens College Cambridge, St John’s College, Oxford, and Merton College, also at Oxford. He joined the University of Durham in the 1980s, gained his PhD and became a professor there in the early 1990s. He is currently at Exeter University where he has an established chair in history. Professor Black’s research focuses on early modern British and continental European history and he is a leading specialist on military revolution. He is the author of forty-six books, the most recent of which is War and the New Disorder in the 21st Century.
