James Halstead
Biography
Dr James Halstead, PhD is a professional military historian and wargamer.
James studied for a BA in War Studies at University of Kent, and for an MA at Kings College London. James discovered wargaming at Kings College, enabling him to truly engage with and understand the nuances of military operations and war. James studied for his PhD in Military History at Brunel University and also worked as a professional wargamer. Currently James is working on converting his thesis into a book while continuing to work in professional wargaming and analysis.
James has given lectures at: Kings College London, the University of Leeds, the Institute of Historical Research, the RAF Museum, the National Army Museum, British Commission for Military History and the Society for Army Historical Research and has helped to deliver wargames both across defence and other parts of government.
