Alex Joske
Biography
Alex Joske is an analyst at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute's International Cyber Policy Centre. His research focuses on the Chinese Communist Party’s political influence and technology transfer efforts. His report on the Chinese military's research collaboration with foreign universities, 'Picking flowers, making honey', has catalysed legislation in the US Congress. He has written for several newspapers and worked as the researcher for Clive Hamilton’s book Silent Invasion: China’s Influence in Australia. Fluent in Chinese, he lived in China for six years, holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Chinese language from the Australian National University, and studied at National Taiwan Normal University.
