Army MakerSpace Program Flyer

Army MakerSpace is an Army program with the aim to improve the cognitive ability of Army Personnel through creativity and non-traditional ways of thinking, coupled with the delivery of ‘Maker skills’ within the MakerSpace site/facility.


Who is MakerSpace for?

MakerSpace is not just for Technical People. MakerSpace is for all Army. It is about learning to think differently, solve problems and learn through making. Through the training anyone can come along to make and learn.

What can I do at the MakerSpace?

You are free to work on personal hobbies, craft and Army projects. The MakerSpace has a wide range of equipment including:

  • CNC Laser cutter & engravers
  • 3D printing
  • CAD and Design work areas
  • Wood and Metal work areas
  • CNC routers
  • Electronics (e.g. Arduino, raspberry pi)
  • Vinyl printing

Come on down and get making.

Is there any training?

Yes, there is education on design thinking and agile project methodology, as well as tools training conducted onsite. Contact your local site supervisor via or drop in.

Do I need experience?

No, you don’t. We have lots of really simple projects to show you and get you making.

What do we need from you?

Curiosity and a desire to solve a problem, imagination and a willingness to have a go.
