Matthew Malcolm
Biography
Captain Matthew Malcolm had an academic career before joining Army. Most recently he was Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts at an Indonesian university, teaching Ethics, Philosophy of Science, and History of Eastern and Western Thought. He joined the Army in 2021 as an Education Officer, and had postings in the Army Education Centre and the Professional Military Education cell before posting to the Army Logistic Training Centre as Staff Officer Grade 3 Develop in 2025. In this role, he heads a small team of uniformed and contracted staff, who create digital learning resources for Army courses. Captain Malcolm lives with his family in Victoria.
