Patrick Bigland is a former Australian infantry soldier who served between 2007 – 2010 within SOCOMD. Leaving the military in 2010, after sustaining a traumatic brain injury, Patrick went on to do further education centred around Australian national security issues concluding him conducting his PhD looking at Terrorism under government scholarship for an Australian Government Agency in 2017. Patrick has participated in Defence’s annual review process over a number of years, and is an active member of the Williams Foundation.
Patrick is now working at Jacobs Australia where he is employed doing Business Development with a focus on Defence and the NIC. His main focus is on employment, and empowerment, of veterans, and spending time with his wife and two kids (Alana, Poppy, and Jason).
