Gordon Pendleton is the Vice President, Europe at Cordillera Applications Group heading up the urbanization, resilience and public safety practice. He is a retired Royal Air Force Officer, with a background in Air Traffic Control, Airspace Management, UAV Operations, Red Teaming and Intelligence. He spent the last 7 years working at HQ SACT, Norfolk, Virginia and with Cordillera leading or participating in major NATO and 5 Eyes strategic futures projects on urbanization. He is a recognised SME on Urbanisation and Resiliency. In 2017 he was awarded the Vice Chief of Defence Staff Commendation for his outstanding contribution leading the urbanization project and contributing to NATO Concept Development. He is currently providing multi-domain operations, suburban, resilience, technology, modelling and red teaming assistance to NATO, the British & Canadian Army, USMC, DARPA and to the City of Norfolk. Additionally, he is supporting a major ICRC experiment on Urban Doctrine as well as supporting the British Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre with red teaming their Future Joint Operating Concept. He has a BA(Hons) is in Business Leadership and Management from Northumbria University and has operational experience in Afghanistan, the Balkans, the Baltics, Italy, Iraq and Poland and was the E-3D Detachment Commander during Operation Allied Force.
